Epoch Charts

Epoch Chart is based on "Trutine of Hermes". In addition to the calculation process outlined by Hermes Trismegistus, you can define your own rules for Epoch Charts.

Epoch Chart is a derived chart, so in order to calculate it you will need to cast the base chart first.

To generate a new Epoch Chart, please follow these steps:

1. Open a chart or create a new chart.
   
2. Expand the Traditions menu and select the Epoch Chart...' menu option. The Epoch Chart form will appear.
3. The Epoch Chart form values default to the rules as outlined by Hermes Trismegistus:
1. Planet is the Moon.
2. Prenatal Epoch search assumes ~9 months (270 days) period prior to birth. So by default the search will start from 270 days before the birth date and will go backwards until the Epoch moment is found.
   
3. ASC is the default point. Alternatively, DESC can be used.
   
4. You can customize any of those rules by selecting different planets, different pre-natal search periods and specifying different house cusps to which planetary returns are calculated.
5. Click OK.
