How to clear your browser's cache.
Sometimes, when the new version of AstroApp comes out you may need
to clear your browser cache. Generally, if you're getting blank pages
and/or your browser reports errors, you should clear your browser's
cache and then restart the browser. Given below are the instructions on
how to clear browser's cache for the most popular web browsers.
MS Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer 7:
- From the Tools menu in the upper right, select Internet Options.
- Under "Browsing history", click Delete... .
- To delete your cache, click the Delete files button.
Internet Explorer
8+:
- From the Safety menu in the upper right, click Delete Browsing
History...
- Deselect Preserve Favorites website data, and select the
Temporary Internet files.
- Click Delete.
FireFox
FireFox 3.0 on
Windows
- From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History... , and then
select the items you want to delete (e.g., Browsing & Download
History, Cache, Cookies).
- Click the Clear Recent History... .
FireFox 3.5+ on
Windows
- From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History... menu option.
- From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired
range (usually clearing cache for the last 1 hour is sufficient); If
you want to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
- Click the down arrow next to "Details" to choose what history
elements to clear (e.g., check Cookies to clear cookies).
- Click the Clear Now button.
FireFox 3.0 on Mac
- In Firefox, from the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History.
- Select the elements you want to clear (e.g., Browsing &
Download History, Cache, Cookies), and then click the Clear Private
Data Now.
FireFox 3.5+ on Mac
- From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History.
- From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired
range (1 hour should be sufficient in most cases); to clear your entire
cache, select Everything.
- Click the down arrow next to "Details" to choose which elements
to clear. Click the Clear Now button.
Google Chrome
- In the browser bar, enter the following verbatim: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
- Select the items you
want to clear (e.g., Clear browsing history, Clear download history,
Empty the cache, Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data).
- You can choose the period of time for which you want to clear
cached information from the Obliterate the following items from:
drop-down menu. To clear your entire cache, select the beginning of
time.
- Click the Clear browsing data.
Maxthon
- Click on the smily face in the top left corner.
- Select the Clear Browser History menu option.
- Make sure that the Delete Cache files checkbox is checked.
- Click the Clear Now button.
Apple Safari
Desktop Safari
- From the Safari menu, select Reset Safari... .
- From the menu, select the items you want to reset, and then click
Reset.
- Note: as of Safari 5.1, Remove all website data covers both
cookies and cache.
Mobile Safari
- From the home screen, tap Safari.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap the Bookmarks icon.
- In the lower left, tap Clear.
- Tap Clear History.
Android
- Start your browser.
- Tap Menu, and then tap More.
- Select Settings.
- Under "Privacy settings", select Clear cache, and then tap OK to
accept (or Cancel to cancel) the deletion.
Opera
- Click on the Opera icon in the top left corner.
- Go to Settings menu and select the Delete Private Data... menu
option.
- Expand the Detailed Options list.
- Make sure that the Delete Entire Cache checkbox is checked.
- Click the Delete button.
Note: even though AstroApp may work on
Opera, we do not support Opera browser at this time.
Mozilla SeaMonkey
- Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
- In the left-side list, open the Advanced node and select Cache.
- Click the Clear Cache button.

Mozilla SeaMonkey, this browser is not supported.
