Dirah Bala: Vedic Planetary Strength according to the Dirah Academy
Dirah System of Planetary Strength
This is a system that is designed to measure the strength of planets in
a Vedic chart. The method has been designed by Roeland de Loof. It is
included in the Advance course - Vedic Astrology of Dirah Academy.
To view the strength (
Dirah Bala) of
the planets, please follow these steps:
- Open your chart
- Expand the Traditions/Vedic
menu and select the Dirah Balah
menu option.
The
Dirah Planetary Strength table
contains the following information:
- Ruler - strength values for each planet based on the rulership of
the sign the planets are in
- Exaltation
- Fall - Fall positions
- Dig - Dig Bala
- Speed - speed of the planets
- Sworn Enemy
- Best Friend
- Friend
- Neutral - neutral relationship between planets (neither friends
nor enemies)
- Enemy
- Aspects (Benefic) - aspect to Benefics
- Aspects (Malefic) - aspects to Malefics
- Conjunction - conjuctions
- Retro - retrograde analysis
- Navamsa - Dignities in the Navamsa chart
- House - strength according to the house placements
- Vargottama
- Lunar Phase - Solar/Lunar phase
- Sing: Start/End - edge of the sign placements.

- To view the same information in a form of a graph, click the Graph button. The graph
representation of the table will appear at the bottom of the window.
- To export the table into a flat file, select the file format
(CSV, MS Excel, OOXM, XML) and click the Export button.
