Astro Indicator modules use
various astrological indicators along with close of day and intra-day
stock prices.
Gann Planetary Support and Resistance:
To generate planetary support or resistance line according to W.D.
Gann, please follow these steps:
- Select the Finance/Gann Planetary Lines... menu.
- Enter the Start Date and the End Date.
- Enter the Ticker of the company you want to
analyze. For markets outside of the USA, make sure to select the
appropriate Country/Market. Note:
Historical data for Euronext and India markets are available for the
last 3-4 months only.
- Type
- select the Type of security. This can be a stock, FOREX currency or
cryptocurrency (crypto).
- Select the Price type (Open, Close, High, Low,
or Average).
- Select the stock chart Style: Candlestick, OHLC
chart, Area chart.
- Set the Planet to be used for
support/resistance lines calculation.
- The Clockwise? option allows you to chose
between Clockwise or Counter-clockwise longitude calculation.
- Set the Scale.
- Degree is the number of degree changes that
correspond to the price movement.
- deg=? is the price movement ratio. For
example, 10 degrees and 1 deg=? values
mean that 10 degrees of movement in longitude corresponds to 1 price
point change.
- Set the Harmonic value. 1 is the default (no
harmonic selected).
- Select the Coordinates System: Geocentric,
Heliocentric, or Topocentric.
- If you want to use more than one indicator in a chart, select the
Color for the current indicator.
- Click the Add-> button. The indicator
calculation parameters will be added to the Indicators table.
- Repeat steps above if you want to add and research more
indicators.
- Once done, click the Calculate button. The
stock chart (Candlestick or OHLC) will appear.
- The chart displays the following information:
- Candlestick values are the daily prices movements.
- The lines are the Gann planetary support or resistance lines
- The bottom pane displays trading volume data.
- The Show Statistics button invokes a table
with statistical correlations between stock prices and each of the
planetary indicators.
- You can also use the Zoom controls to zoom in
on 10 days, 1 month, YTD or Max date ranges.
Astro Indicators:
The
Astro Indicators module allows you to research
correlation between stock prices and various astrological indicators.
To use it:
- Select the Finance/Astro Indicators... menu.
- Enter the Start Date, End Date,
Ticker and Price Type (Open,
Close, High, Low, or Average).
- Select
the Type of security. This can
be a stock, FOREX currency or cryptocurrency (crypto).
- Select one of the available Indicator:
- Essential Dignities
- Accidental Dignities
- Dignities Complete - All Dignities
- Longitude
- Latitude
- Distance (AU)
- Speed
- Speed in Latitude
- Speed (AU)
- Sum of All Distances
- Phase
- Elongation
- Apparent Diameter
- Magnitude
- Siderograph
- Select the Planet
- Set the Color for the indicator line.
- Click the Add-> button. The indicator
calculation parameters will be added to the Indicators table.
- Repeat steps above if you want to calculate additional research
indicators.
- Click the Calculate button. The intra-day
trading stock chart will be shown along with the requested indicators.
Astro Indicators for Intra-Day Traders:
To analyze intra-day data along with astro indicators, please use
the Finance/Intra-day Astro Indicators... menu.
The process is very similar to the close-of-day analysis. The main
difference is that the Start and End Date filters are not available.
The data will always be available for 5-10 trading dates prior to the
last (or current) trading day.
Note 1: intra-day data are available
for the range of 1 or 2 weeks back from the current date.
Note 2: intra-day data are available
in 15 mins intervals.
Technical Indicators and Transits:
AstroApp offers 90+ technical indicators. Technical
Indicator charts can be combined with astrological transits.
This module can be used just for Technical Indicators
analysis and also to combine Technical Indicators and
Astro Transits.
If you want to view transits along with the indicators, please make
sure to create and save your Events search criteria
first:
- Go to the Research/Transits: Search... menu.
- Enter your Events Search criteria, enter the Events
Search Name and click the Save Search button.
- Once events criteria are saved you can proceed to the next set of
steps.
Using Technical Indicators and Saved Events:
- Select the Finance/Technical Indicators +
Transits... menu.
- Enter the Start Date, End Date,
Ticker and Price Type (Open,
Close, High, Low, or Average). Note: most
indicators rely on the Close price and for those indicators the Price
Type setting will be automatically overridden.
- Select the Type: stocks,
crypto or FOREX currencies.
- Select the technical chart style (Candlestick, OHLC, Area).
- Select an indicator from the Indicators
drop-down.
- Optionally, enter description for this indicator.
- Click the Add-> button. The indicator
calculation parameters will be added to the Indicators table.
- Repeat steps above if you want to combine multiple technical
indicators on the same chart.
- Click the Calculate button. The technical
indicators chart for the selected security will be shown.
- If you want to add Transits to the technical
analysis chart, click the Show Events button.
- In the Advanced Events Search window, select
the previously saved Events Search Criteria and click
the Events Search button.
- The Transit Events will be added to the
technical chart. The Events will be marked as light
blue triangle flags.
- Multiple events can be added to the technical analysis chart.
Simply, repeat steps 10 and 11 as many times as required.
Trading System and Strategy Analysis
The Strategy Analysis graph shows price changes along with buy and
sell events as defined in your testing strategy. To create and analyze
trading strategy:
- Go to the Finance/Trading System... menu.
- Define your Buy and Sell rules.
- Select start and end dates
- Select the stcok ticker.
- Analyze the strategy.
- In the Trading System: Analysis results window,
click the Trade Graph button.
The price chart with corresponding buy and sell events marked with B and S flags will come up.
The
performance data represents past performance, which is no guarantee of
future results. Investment return and principal value of an investment
will fluctuate; therefore, you may have a gain or loss when you sell
your shares. Current performance may be higher or lower than the
performance data quoted or used.
