Moon Families
Moon Family Table
Moon
Families (also known as
Lunation Families) is a method developed by Dietrech J. Pessin
and described in her book Lunar Shados: The Lost Key to the Timing of
Eclipses. The
idea is that each lunation is part of a 'family'
of lunations.
Pessin's
idea is that these lunations are linked and that a development at the
New Moon will unfold through the moon family cycle
- following Rudhyar's description of the symbolism of the lunation
cycle.
The Moon
Families table presents the following information:
- Lunation Families - these are metonic cycles. The
Moon family
repeats according to the 19 year metonic cycle.
- New
Moon - the date of the New Moon that starts each Moon Family.
- 1st
Quarter
- Full
Moon
- 3rd
Quarter
