Ingresses

Ingress Chart is a derived chart, so in order to calculate it you will need to cast the base chart first. The base chart information will be used as a starting point for the Ingress chart calculation.

Calculating Ingress dates

To calculate dates for the upcoming Ingress events, please follow these steps:

1. Open an existing chart or create a new chart.
   
2. Expand the Forecast menu and select the 'Ingress...' menu option. The Ingress form will appear.
3. Select the Type of Ingress. The following Ingress types are available:
1. Planet ingress in Zodiac Sign.
2. Planet ingress in Terms (bounds). The system for Terms/Bounds calculation can be configured from the in Settings/Settings menu/Dignities tab.
3. Planet ingress in Houses.
4. Planet ingress in all Lunar Mansions.
5. Planet ingress in degrees (will be calculated for the next 90 degrees).
   
4. Select the planet you wish to calculate Ingresses for.
5. Converse. Check this checkbox if you want the search for Ingresses to be done backwards.
6. Click OK. The Ingresses table will appear. It will list the next 12 ingress events based on the requested parameters.

Ingress charts

You can also generate charts for any of the previously calculated Ingress events. In order to draw a chart for the Ingress event, follow the steps above.
Once the Ingresses table is invoked, double click on any of the dates in the table. The Ingress chart for the selected date will be generated and will appear in the main tabset.
