Horary Astrology Software

Traditional Horary Astrology of William Lilly and medieval authors and the KP Horary from the Vedic tradition.

With the Horary tools you can calculate the chart of a question and see everything the traditional judgment needs in one place: the Considerations before judgment, the dignities of the significators, the aspects the Moon will make before it leaves its sign, aspects perfection timings, the planetary hour, the day ruler and the syzygy before the question. The Vedic edition includes KP Horary, based on a horary number.

The Horary Chart

You calculate a horary chart for the moment and place you understand the question, just like any other chart, with all your default settings applied automatically (such as the house system, the terms and the dignity rules, and so on). Two chart styles are available for the Horary work:

  • the horary wheel, with a planetary positions strip
  • the Lunar Aspects Wheel, which shows the Moon's aspects around the chart

Judging the Chart

The Horary Tools table shows what you need for the judgment, all in one place:

  • the considerations before judgment that apply to the current chart
  • essential and accidental dignities of every planet and house cusp, scored by the system you choose
  • aspect perfection timing
  • Void of Course Moon, according to your choice of eight VOC rules from the Hellenistic, Medieval, Renaissance and Modern traditions
  • the syzygy before the question
  • sect, the final dispositor and the dispositor chains
  • mutual receptions, positive and negative
  • the planetary hour and the day ruler, with a planetary hours table for the day
  • derived houses, where you can rotate the chart based on the topic in question
  • Lunar Mansions

Horary Reports and Degrees

Three interpretation reports are included for horary: a horary interpretation report, a report on the horary degrees, and a report on the house rulers in houses. With the Interpretation Editor you can write your own reports, using the same astrological factors. For any planet or house cusp, the Points Explorer lists its Lunar Mansion, the traditional qualities of its degree, including the fortunate and unfortunate degrees, azemene and illness degrees, together with its Sabian symbol.

KP Horary

If you practice Krishnamurti Paddhati, you can calculate a KP horary chart from a horary number between 1 and 249, with tables of the sub-lords of the planets and houses and the Pushkara navamsas. You can find the other KP tools in Vedic Astrology.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does AstroApp check the considerations before judgment?

Yes. AstroApp tests each one against the chart and lists it in the Horary Tools table, so you know whether the chart is "radical".

Which Void of Course rules can I use?

The one you set in the Settings. You can choose from eight rules from the Hellenistic, medieval, Renaissance and Modern traditions, and AstroApp applies your choice in every table and report.

Can I see the timing of aspects perfection?

Yes. The aspect perfection timing lists the upcoming aspects between the significators and how long each aspect would take to perfect, in degrees and in time.

Can I turn the Horary Chart?

Yes. With derived houses you can count the houses from any house you choose and rotate the chart based on the desired question or topic.

Is KP horary included?

Yes, with the Vedic tools: you can calculate a chart from the KP horary number, with the sub-lords and the KP house details.
