3D Planetarium and Sky Designer

See the sky of any chart in three dimensions, with the constellations of nine cultures, six zodiacs and your own 3D styles.

The 3D Planetarium shows the sky of your chart as a sphere you can turn, with the ecliptic, the zodiac, the constellation figures, the fixed stars, the house cusps and the aspects. You can see what a flat wheel cannot show: where a planet stood among the stars, how far a sign is from its constellation, and where the horizon and the meridian cross the sky. With the 3D Styles Designer you can change everything the planetarium shows, from the culture of the constellation figures to the colors of the night sky.

The Sky

You can turn the sky with the mouse, or use the search form to go to any longitude and latitude. Click a planet, an object or a house cusp in the planets and houses tables, and the sky turns to center on it. When the Sun is above the horizon, you see a daytime sky. The Vedic zodiac is shown with the ayanamsa correction, and the Chinese constellations are among the figure sets.

  • constellation names and boundaries
  • the zodiac: tropical, sidereal, galactic, 13 Signs, tropical lunar mansions or nakshatras
  • the right ascension grid and its degrees, useful when you work with primary directions
  • the ecliptic line and its degrees
  • the fixed stars, filtered by magnitude
  • the aspects between planets and objects, and the width of the aspect lines
  • planet glyphs and names, and the day and night sky colors
  • the lines and colors of the zodiac and sign boundaries
  • the houses: the position and width of the house sectors, the colors of the house numbers, and the lines of the house boundaries and sector divisions
